Mississippi Lake

The Fishing Map Project comes alive in Hawk Talk. This project features various bodies of water in the province of Ontario, which can be downloaded here, and used to find some potential honey holes.

Mississippi Lake

Post by Bobber »

Location:
From Ottawa Take Hwy 417, Take Hwy 7 towards Carleton Place. There are a few launches to choose from:

- Carleton Place, right in town, just past the canoe club.
- 2 miles west of Innisville on 9th line (heading west on Highway 7)
- There's also a launch at www.baitcasters.ca at 135 Hardwood road

Species:
Smallmouth and largemouth bass are the primary species along with walleye and lots of smaller pike. There's no shortage of crappie and bluegill as well.

No. The spots circled in blue are good for snapping turtles. :laughing-rolling:

10th Line access, road side parking only.... 4x4 required entry to ice or on foot.

Letter A in red is the point of entry.

Thanks Lads, first season with a boat, happened to find a dock to store her on the Miss. Finding the lake a bit tricky to figure out ... mainly looking for bass. We're at the shallow end closest to CP. I appreciate the nods to where to locate a map.

cheers, and tight lines.
