Newboro Lake

The Fishing Map Project comes alive in Hawk Talk. This project features various bodies of water in the province of Ontario, which can be downloaded here, and used to find some potential honey holes.

Newboro Lake

Post by Bobber »

Species:
All the panfish species in addition to the species indicated.

Getting There:
If you're leaving from Ottawa, get to Carleton Place and take Hwy 15 South. Turn right (west) onto Hwy 42 (Crosby) and head for Newboro. Look out for Lock Road and turn left onto it. Then keep your eyes open for the launch. There's a fee to launch and park, but what's a few bucks to fish on this largemouth infested water?

Newboro vs Big R

Post by kjdfish »

What do you consider the adv/disadv of the two lakes. Newboro looks like more islands and smaller with more structure. More LMB + SMB than Pike or walleyes..
