I don't have all the fine details. All I have are rumors.
1) Bobber may no longer be interested and 2) money is in play.
Waiting for more information. I'm hoping that we will be kept informed.
Will be a sad day to see this place shut down.

Tks Frank. I was also thinking that In reality there are not a lot of registered users on at a time, mostly all guests. Perhaps the advertisers who help pay the bill don't believe that they are getting a good bang for their buck, for the amount of ppl they're reaching.

Regardless, it would still be a great shame to see the site shut down.

Face Book and tweeter are taking over. It's where the money is.
The big box stores killed the mom and pop operations and FaceBook will probably kill Fish-Hawk type sites.
Just about every site out there has a link to FaceBook. You are always asked to "Like Them On FaceBook"

I would much rather spend my time reading Fish-Hawk or Tackle Tour or Photography on Net Forum.
Sites such as Fish-Hawk will survive by growing their membership and possibly charging a participation fee.

Wow !!

A lot of DELUSIONAL remarks being made here.....Fish hawk was never rea?ly a happening place.
Very few replies made to any given thread at the best of times
If it's such a good site why would it go under ????????

Marc, I'm not an artist, but just to prove I really do care, here ya go...

I would even care if Mike & Rob had not renewed the domain name last week until March 19, 2017.
Now back to the regular programming...

I'd say that is very, very artsy!
I appreciate you taking the time to draw it up, very crude sketch, but I especially like the details on the arse :D
So they did renew the domain name, care to elaborate?

O4T,

I don't think that really means anything. I don't know the ins and outs but would you still need to renew the domain name to keep control of anything on it? Say you wanted to sell the domain name, it would be pointless to not renew it because people could buy it for nothing compared to what the owners of the renewed domain may ask?

I'm playing devils advocate here. I know nothing about this stuff and even less about what Mav is going on about on the rumour side. I just really hope FH is around on March 2nd...

Adam
Unless the perps that hacked the DB last crash are willing to try again, FH will still exist on March 2nd.

This thread is bringing out the best from it's members.
We got an old school type selfie. They were called Self Portraits.

Would be nice to hear from Mike and or Bobber.

Being one of the newerish (Thats a word right?) members (just over a year) I can say that I would definitely miss this site if it were to go down. I can say without a doubt that since i found this site and started reading the posts on here my fishing has improved 2 fold. I have had the pleasure of dealing with some great people on here when it comes to making some purchases. some of my posts may not have gotten much attention but it doesn't really bother me as the people who did answer always were very insightful and seem more than willing to help. I don't really have a lot of time to get out and go to the Thursday nights out at paddletales as much as i would like this has made me turn into a tackle junki and more of a fishing freak than i already am. While i'm at it just wanted to thank everyone on here for all the help over the last years. And the reports after some outings along with the pictures are always great to read.

Sad news indeed! Like with everything there is good and bad within this forum but for the most part I have made new fishing buddies and friends! I used to run a forum board a while back and the service we used was very cheap for the year!! I hope this site is still up March 2nd! I would also be willing to help out with a donation to whoever is or would be buying the domain!
