Blacks rapids

Post by DaveH »

Headed there last night to try for some pike or eyes. Water was a little high and moving quite quickly, so I didn't really have any idea what I was doing, just casting out, retrieving etc etc.

Hit a small OOS smallie, sent it back very quick! Then either another smallie, or a decent walleye (didn't get that good a look at it) Too bad... but it was still a lot of fun!!!

Hope to head to Billings this weekend if the weather cooperates!

Dave,

I'll most likely be fishing Billings as well Sunday, probably around 3ish.

Cheers,
Todd

ps: have your bite guards ready as the last time out we spotted another nice muskie in the shallows.

Dave,

They are short wire leaders, though I prefer to make my own out of PowerPro.
