Red fin suckers?

I have been fishing for alot of smallies an piceral latly and have found a pool close to home with about 100+ red fins in it. I have tried nymphs,meal worm imitations, corn roe bags an yet i have had no success but with a worm usin my float rod for piceral? anyone ever fish them if so how? an with wat!?

I've had limited success nymphing for them using a Black Murry's Helgrammite pattern in the spring. Best of luck.
