Post by Walker »

I am thinking about buying a rotary vise and was wondering what make/type to get. My $ range is up to 250-300.
What are others using and is worth it.

Thanks in advance

You should be able to pick up a good quality rotary vice for under $200.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

Any respectable shop will let you play with their display models. I would suggest you bring a couple hooks in the the largest, smallest and most commonly used size that you will be tying with. This will give you an idea as to how well the various vices will feel when you're tying on them, as well as the quality of the jaws, or whether you will need an extra set of jaws for very large or very small hooks.

Here are a couple articles that might help.

Well the Mrs. bought a rotary vice which I received for X-mas.
Can't wait to start tying with it. She also got me a tube-tyng adapter to go with it, :D :D :D :D
