This is an easy fly to build, customize and cast. Tried to prospect for some top water pike... ended up getting lots of attention from the bass and panfish.
White with chartreuse belly and no legs was working today. I added doll eyes instead.
I also love a leggy variation tied black and purple.

Bass Love the Stealth Bomber.
Bass Love the Stealth Bomber.
That is an good one to tie.
Smallmouth love them.
I have three sizes in the Mustad 3366 in my box. A 6 & 10 for panfish and bass. A 2 for pike.
If I have good luck I am going to try tying some 2/0 for pike.
I am hoping to tie a few tonight to pass along to a friend that is just getting into pike and bass on the fly.
Tight Lines!

Yes they do.....
When tying the upsized pattern for pike and largemouth, I like size #2 or #4 37187. Barbless of course.
You may find the larger sizes will generate a lot of leader twist. A super small Mustad swivel 3' - 4' head of the fly can help.
And don't be afraid to try this fly on the business end of a Type V full sink.
