First fly rod & reel

Paul,

I hope you picked up a few Clouser minnows and some heavier woolly buggers as they're great for evening eyes, which might come in handy on your trip to La Verendrye Park. ;-)

hey tall apaul we have thit a few loal lake for bass soon.

i do have to say ..i did not fly fish for them the past outing. :oops: ..but i realy want to..guive me more chalenge.

Well, I picked up a bunch of flies... but none of those.

I didn't bring my fly-line up on the trip... probably a good call given the lack of fishing that was done. It was also really windy. Anyway, only fished a couple of hours total... and only one very small (16"?!) pike caught! :oops: :oops:

joco - yeah, lets go! I'll bring a few types of rods / gear and we can give them all a try! :D pm sent!

I'm going camping this weekend... bringing spinning, baitcasting... and Fly gear! :D I'll have some pics of my first bass(es?) taken on the fly posted early next week... 8)

Hmmm... I think I need to add some stuff to my canoe... rod holders, net holder, tool belt of sorts, .... 8)

Well the fewer things you can get tangled on is better. Fly boxes, etc that sink are bad and if you're in the habbit of dropping rods overboard, rod leashes are a good idea as well. ;-)

There's another habit I hope I never pick up!! Fishing is expensive enough as it is!! :lol:

rig a canoe is a great ideal 2 rod holder scotty one is nice.

one good thing..little piece off rope and a foam attche to all..

i got this now on my net and pliers..so dont loose them anymore..i drop they float. 8)
