magnifying lamp

Post by swampsinger »

I'm setting up a fly tying bench and was wondering is it worth getting a magnifying lamp or just have good lighting and wear high power "readers". I'm thinking the lamp might be a pain getting in the way.

It's really personal preference, though a good light makes tying easier especially when working with smaller sized flies. Myself I have a Lee Valley magnifying table light, which is also portable. Some fellow tiers use the Ikea LED work lamps.
