Crappie are in

Post by swampsinger »

The crappie are in at the Rideau locks. I won't have to sing for my supper tomorrow night. I picked up a dozen crappie in about 45 mins. Tip of the day, they weren't actually in the locks, they were after small minnows that are running in the tail race currents. Top fly was the grizzly buggar tied on a jig hook, # 6

Cool bait! One of my coolest guide trips was a fly guy. He absolutely destroyed the Crappie on a Wooly Bugger. Really cool.
