All things being equal, I'm in to her for about $5K-6K.
Boat $500
Big Motor $2K - $750 motor, $1250 complete wiring and tune up.
Kicker $1K
Trailer $1500
Other goodies approx $1K (i.e. paint, rod holders, h/w, etc).

I couldn't be happier with how well it handles ... even the 8 footers. :lol:
Caution to anyone who wants to try this ... it is NOT cheap building a boat retail. Now, with that said, the lay out of the boat is exactly how I want it. Even if I bought a running boat for a project, to get the customization I have on mine would still cost a couple of bones.

It's a hoot though. Lots of info on the web. I encourage anyone who fancies themselves marginally handy to give it a go.

Update on The Money Pit.
Kicker is installed and she is running like a top. :D
(Wolfe, I'm still only at 90% though, but I'm not done yet)
