My 1976 motor????

Post by G-loomis »

Hi all, I have a 1976 Johnson motor it is a 4 sea horse when I used it for the thanksgiving holiday the weekend, the saturday was a beauty day it was plus 10 out warm, the motor ran great full out, then the next morning I went out it was -4 out brrrrrrrrrr..... with wind chill and the motor would not start but after a while I got it going it would not go full out It felt alot slower from the day before. then in the afternoon it was a bit warmer but it still was acting weird. what is happening.

cold mornings means some moisture in the air - unless it's really *&$(*^ cold. Check and clean the plug leads this is where WD40 earns it's money.
