Minnkota auto pilot doesn't

Post by CNs »

When I went out on Victoria day my Minnkota Autopilot was acting up. It would not track it seemed to search for a direction.

I called Laurentian marine where I had purchased it.

They do not do warranty claims and pointed me to the offical, authorized, and sanctioned repair centre here in the Ottawa area - J-S service (1510 Innes Blvd 613 841 -6715).

I took it in Tuesday aftrernoon. Thye called this morning @ 8:30. Fixed and ready to go.

I just had to let people in the Ottawa Area know about the excellent service they provided. When I took it in they said 2 - 3 days unless they need to order parts then maybe a week.

They explained what was wrong , possible causes and the length of my warranty

Great stuff picking it up this afternoon

The autopilot uses a compass board to maintain directon. This was faulty -worked perfect last year but phffft this year :?:

replaced and should be ready to go.

Warranty on the motor is 3 years on the AP/US models

Yes. It was inside my garage (unheated). I track the temp in the garage. It never got below freezing.
