Boats out

Post by CNs »

Picked up the boat from storage.
Its good to have her out.

Now its off to Dave Scott (Aim outboards in Carp) for re-commissioning and final motor tuneup.

Should be on the water next weekend.

You may have mentioned it Norm but did the motor pop or is this just preventative maintenance?

Either way, it's always nice to get the boat back.

Preventative maintenance. Motor did not sound right at end of season so I had Dave go over it.
Found the check valve and fuel rails needed some work.

Nothing major.

Got the trusty SportsPal outta the shed this weekend.

The daughter just had to go for a "Happy Spring-Time" paddle right away so we went to the beach in Pakenham (it was blocked off by the town still - ugghh!) so we ended up launching a couple of feet in front of the wire cable with caution tape.

Was a great little paddle - water is swift but not raging and way below normal levels.
Good times!

(I just wish people would stop trying to save everyone/thing and especially me! by imposing arbitrary dates/times/durations etc.)
