Fixed height Jack plate.

Post by clint »

does anyone know anywhere locally that i can pick something like this up?
http://www.basspro.com/Mini-Jacker-for- ... duct/8782/
I got tired of trying to find a good short shaft motor so I got a really good deal on a 25 hp long shaft motor and want to use it on my short shaft transom.
Is there any place locally that carries something like this, or somewhere in the west end that I could get one made?

Paddletales used to be a BPS wholesaler and I think they still are. Give Ed a call and see if he can order it in for you. I have done this in the past and received my items quickly.

Short of that, I do not know where you could buy one in the Ottawa area but to be honest, it isn't something I have ever really looked for.

Just curious what the benefit of this route is oposed to just ordering it direct?

I didn't want to deal with customs or duties since all of the stuff I ordered came from the states. If you are worried about using a Credit card online, it also bypasses that as well.

Realistically, you are looking to find it local. This was my solution and it worked fine for me.

Ya for sure, I just didn't know if as a wholesaler he had better access to deals or anything of the sort.

You would have to call and see but from what I remember I paid the same price as if I would have walked into BPS anywhere in Canada.

Go to the TH Marine website. They provide links to their authorized sellers.
You can order them through Amazon.ca
Thanks
