Satellite radio on a boat??

Post by qcconnection »

Quick question, Anyone have satellite radio on their boat?

Peace and serenity are nice, but sometimes some good tunes are just as good.

Anyone have experience with them in terms of coverage zones/outages? I`m pretty green to the whole concept.

Expensive to have a dedicated subscription for just the boat, I have a portable model for the truck, and an extra car kit installed in the boat. It's just a matter of bringing the head unit from one to the other, I've used it everywhere from Lake Erie to Lake Nipigon, never had an outage. If you're next to a 100' cliff along the south Shore of a lake it is possible to lose connection briefly as all the satellites are to the south of you.
