Fish finder question

Post by andrew1234 »

Is there such thing as a fish finder that instead of captures imagery of what is in front of you or is it only what is directly below?

Thanks,

Andrew

The only thing I can think of would be the hummingbird 360 which does a circle up to 150 feet around the boat.

It isn't exactly cheap though.

There's also the Garmin fish finder with Panoptix. Forward looking sonar.
Man, is it ever clear and it's just like looking at an Ultrasound of the water.
Sail has one on display. Very interesting. That unit runs about $1500.00 plus the Transducer is another $1700.-$1900.00
Throw the tax on this and not much change $4000.00.
