registering a used boat? where and how?

hello, where would i go to register a used boat in the ottawa /arnprior area ?
bill of sales good or do i need more papers?

Any Service Ontario location to register the trailer for towing purposes.
Bill of sale is good.
If you bought used ask the seller to write separate bill of sale for you for trailer and boat.

If the boat has a motor greater than 10 hp you need to register the boat with Transport Canada (http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/oe ... u-2311.htm)

I always carry a copy of the bill of sale with me in the boat, along with proof of insurance.
