portable fish finders

Post by loophole »

I did a search on this subject in this forum and found a few posts, but nothing recent. Scarkners post was helpful. I guess the low priced yellow units coming from China are of limited value. You get what you pay for seems to apply here. Anyone buy anything lately that's worth looking at?

Check out the Garmin Striker 4.... hard to beat for the money. I have been using it for ice fishing the last couple years. The model with the portable pack comes with suction cup to use the transducer on a boat or a float to use through the ice.
