Charleston Map for Mr. J (large image)
Mr J.
Here is a photo of a map of Charleston lake. At WestMeath you were asking about the lake and possible canoing areas.
As mentioned there is the bottom end of Runnings bay (from the islands down to the marsh) and there is also an area about 1/2 way up Runnings along the northWest shore called Pergatory cove that is motor boat free and is very sheltered.
I've also put this in the Charleston weekend thread...

yup its the whole lake (there are 2 small bodies of water at the top left and lower left that are not part)Mr.J. wrote:Wholly crap is that the whole lake? It's huge
Thanks Andre, do you know where the camp ground is on this image so I can get a bearing?
The park owns most of the areas in brown.
If you look at the map, there are 2 green boxes which say Charleston Lake Provincial park. (if you save to your computer you should be able to blow it up abit)
Just below the lower Box there are 3 white triangles...Thats the group camping area (off of Mud bay ...lower portion of lake)
if you want a clear map with all the depths and place names check Pathfinders.. they carry the Trax maps , I believe I paid $24 last yr. 20"x28" and Laminated
