Oh I expected to see someone bite in this one - I believe the piece of wood thing went years ago, this was posted in some detail last year. On the topic of water vs acid, I always believed the same as you, add water not acid as it is the water that has gone. You can also get some additives to put in your battery to give them a new lease though I have never used these. When in doubt, see the experts, the guys at Total have always been helpfull to me.Rideaufish wrote:Lets see if we can get ccb going.
You want to use water distilled is prefered and not acid, but if you use acid
make sure you store the battery on a piece of wood.
When a battery is charges the water is what is going to evaporate and not the acid
