It seems like people really love over/under shotguns... I'm wondering why? I've never shot one but I have every other type. I'm assuming they shoot quite a bit faster?
I rarely fire all 3 shots in my shotgun when hunting grouse (I'm assuming overs are used primarily for grouse type hunts) but I have occasionally run into a small group of 4-5 grouse and wish I had more legal shots. So I'm glad I have that extra 3rd shot that an over/under lacks.
I have used side-by-sides and think they're great but never hear anyone recommend them as I do with the over/unders.
They are definitely more expensive. So whats up with these guns? Just curious I suppose as I'm looking to get a side-by-side soon.
