Special material for tying flies

Post by LeGrand »

I have a fly pattern called the Squirminator. One piece of material requires the hair of the Hairy Puffer Soft Rubber Ball toy (some have a LED flashing hard plastic ball inside the covering ball).

I use to see these useless funny toys all over in stores. Now that I need one yellow colored one, I can't find it anywhere.

Any suggestions of store you have seen them lately?

I found mine at Dollarama.
They are listed as seasonal so that's probably why you are having trouble.

That would be a good reason explaining my lack of finding them. Seasonal.

Tried a few Dollorama, Dollar Sense, Walmart, Toys-R-US, etc.

My daughter convinced me to get something like that at Michael's, the craft store.

It was a squishy ball with a glowing thing inside. I think it cost a buck.

LeGrand,
They are about 1 1/4 " long. The ball itself is 4".
