With a heat wave forecasted for this weekend, there was only one thing to do. Head out to LAC STE MARIE and twitch up some Fine Walleye. For this outing the fish were slightly deeper, 8 feet seemed to be the sweet spot. We did catch a few twitching thundersticks in the shallows, but the ticket Saturday was a 1/4 oz jighead covered with a white twister tail and tipped with a worm. A slow and subtle jig right off the bottom produced the strikes .....otherwise, IT WASN'T GOING TO HAPPEN !! Off the water by 11:00 am with a couple of 19/20 inchers in the cooler o ice.
A bird pic to booth..
There will be an influx of Great Grey Owls in the winter of 2017
