Or my spring trash fish round up....
Given the weather and kids activities fishing has taken a back seat this spring... I managed to get out and have nice morning on fathers day though. My first full spring session (about 4 hours) just in time for the first day of summer.
I hit the bank early and managed to get this ragged tail white sucker and and small carp right off the mark.
Awhile later I got this interesting half tail carp:
Next to hit the bank was this super colourful shorthead redhorse, a very vibrant red.
Next came my biggest carp in a while... He fought hard with many strong runs. It is not that long but it had broad shoulders. I called it around 8 pounds.
Last but not least was the final white sucker of the day

That's some fine coarse angling (as they say across the pond)!

Re: First Full Spring Session.... Finally
Glad you were able to get out for a good outing. I feel your pain as I just had my first son in January so fishing has slowed down. It's rare you see reports like this which is a cool change. Thanks for sharing zippyfx and hope you are able to get out some more. I enjoy your unique posts.

Amen to that, the worm is the ubiquitous bait!Yunan wrote:You never know what you can catch with a piece of worm
