Re: Tokyo rig
I haven't had much experience with rigs like the GAPEN'S BAIT-WALKER RIG. I took a look at the rig and it looks like the tokyo rig would have a lot more range of motion, as the setup allow the weight and bait to fall in a straight line through cover. the tokyo rig looks like it would get hung up or ...

Re: Jigs - line options
Thanks for all the replies ! This group is simply awesome. I digest so much bass media through bassfan, youtube, (even bass university to be honest), however it's all generally info geared towards angling in the southern states. It's really great and very much appreciated to talk fish with local guy...

Re: Jigs - line options
Great response ! Was really cool to read. When you're fishing fluoro, is it as a main line or leader ? I completely agree with the braid in the thick stuff. Every season I find myself growing more fond or punching. It may be fondness or growing confidence that I'll get the fish out. Not sure yet :wi...

Jigs - line options
Hey guys, I have been fighting off cabin fever and organizing tackle for next season. I have been debating line choice for my jig setup and wanted to hear your thoughts. I am not looking for any answers, i know every line has its pros and cons, just wanted to hear some opinions. I dont often pitch j...

St.Lawrence River Dropshot setup
Hi guys, I am heading out to fish the Larry in the thousand islands area next weekend for the first time and am looking for some dropshot advice. I currently use a medium-light rod (fenwick hmg - 1/8 to 5/8 lure rating) with 10 pound braid / 8 pound leader. Should i upgrade the rod to a medium/mediu...

Outboard repairs
Hi guys, I just picked up a new boat with a merc 50 2stroke. Where is a good place to go for maintenance? I'm in the Perth area. I'm having some overheating issues. I've been trying to research and I'm not sure if it's the pump, thermostat, or impeller. Telltale is working but slow flow. Many thanks

Re: Curado K vs Tatula SV
Thanks again for the advice guys.
I ended up getting carried away and picked up a Curado DC, Curado K, two Zillion SV, and a Tatula SV. Also picked up some shimano and daiwa rods to check them out. I had been using mostly Abu in the past.
Special thanks to Ed at Paddletales !

Re: Curado K vs Tatula SV
Thank you to you both for replying. Are you setting up the SV spool tension so that there’s a little play in the spool or setting is a little tighter so there’s no play ? I was watching a video from Brent Ehler saying that he sets it up that so that there’s a slight knock side to side. Seems kinda s...

Curado K vs Tatula SV
Hi guys, Looking for some advice on my setups for next year. This will be my first year with decent quality setups. I recently bought 2 tatula SV103s and 2 curado Ks. All 4 of these reals will be on shallow water setups (pitching, short roll casts, skipping, etc). I've been pitching to targets in th...
