Re: Gear for sale
Rods: Please read carefully if interested. Because I recently built some new rods for myself ( you can see them in the “Latest creation “ topic), I decided to sell some of my older rods. Right now I have 3 rods for sale but I might add some later. Al 3 are custom built or custom modified by myself f...

Re: Daiwa CND custom ML eyelets
Oh man the horrors of learning that knot last year. I’ll give it a go. How hard is it to replace eyelets? Appreciate the help. It’s not hard to replace the tip, the hard part is ordering it ( you have to identify brand, model, colour and insert type) and have it delivered to you( from US) if you wa...

Re: Daiwa CND custom ML eyelets
Try tying the FG knot and see if anything changes before blaming the rod . I’m not familiar with that particular rod but I do see in pictures of it that the tip is a bit recessed compared to the runners and that might be a problem ( in which case the solution is either to replace the tip with anothe...

Re: 5 things you dislike about bass fishing?
1.If you guys are finding boat ramps annoying you should really try fishing from an inflatable boat sometimes . You won’t depend on the existence of a ramp but, there’s a but, you will have to carry everything to and from the water,inflate/deflate, gear up your rig (tiller motor, trolling motor, son...

Natural dropshot weights
Hello again, as the title says, I just wanted to share with you something that I conceived and I’ve been testing successfully since last season. It started initially as an improvisation in my holliday in BC (there are lots of places there where you are not allowed to use lead weights) and it develop...

Re: What’s your opinion on this?
I agree! however, what’s the size and weight of those? Will you take them in your pocket while wading or hiking to a remote lake? My quest is to find the smallest, lightest cutters, able to cut something like this without a problem: https://gamakatsu.com/product/treble-hooks-4x-strong/ Right now the...

Re: What’s your opinion on this?
Nice painting ! I tried different brands and sizes of side cutters over the years myself but the smaller ones were not able to cut heavy duty hooks in larger size (they will get chipped) and the bigger ones were always too large and too heavy. In the end I settled for the NWS pair which you can see ...

What’s your opinion on this?
Do you think there is value in a pair of bolt cutters in a mini size for fishing? I realized how useful they can be the hard way, after getting hooked by a pike with just a Leatherman on my person while wading a long way from the car. After some research I ended up buying the smallest bolt cutter I ...
