Re: Algonquin lake trout fishing tips.
This time of year, 40-60 ft will do it in Algonquin. I find that fish near the bottom are still active but the ones chasing bait up high are more active. The flats at the edge of deep water would be my bet, and any hump surrounded with deep water If you're still packing --- toss in some white tubes...

Heading up to algonquin Park “Cauchon lake” for a fishing trip. In previous trips, ive had success trolling deep diving crank baits for lakers. I recently purchased a leadcore setup with 9 colours of leadcore on it. I plan to try out some EGB, williams and NK Spoons as well. My main question is what...

Re: Brook trout fishing
Algonquin park has some of the best brook trout fishing in the world. In regards to specific lakes and rivers in the park I don't have any special suggestions other than what a quick google search could provide you with. Re: Good time fishing lure?
For bass - Z-man molted craw tube (2.5 inch) on a z-man shroomz 1/15 oz jig head. This rig is called a ned rig. It plain catches fish.
Little cleo spoons are quite good for trout/salmon.
Blue fox spinners are another good multi species lure.

Re: Lake Opeongo August Lake Trout Help - Tips and Suggestio
Thanks for posting a follow up and kudos for the successful fishing! Could you please share the lure(s) used to catch the trout, as well as what depth they were caught at, if you don't mind? I caught my limit of Park lake trout back in June on EGB spoons at a (estimated) depth of between 40-50 feet...

Re: Lake Opeongo August Lake Trout Help - Tips and Suggestio
Sorry, I don't have any experience using a Bondy Bait or Tail Dancer. It would be good to have some sort of lure that can go down 40-50 feet, imo. Im going to try to use a 3 way swivel with a few ounces of weight for trolling. Thanks for the replies, ill keep you all posted and post some picks if w...

Re: Lake Opeongo August Lake Trout Help - Tips and Suggestio
I've fished several lakes in the Park (and near it) for lake trout over the years, but never in Lake Opeongo. For those other lakes, at this time of year, most of the lake trout that I've caught was done by trolling EGB spoons in sizes 3, 3B, 4 and 6 on leadcore line, letting out between 4 to 6 col...

It's approx 5-6 hour canoe in from the Outfitter to Annie Bay in good conditions. Wind conditions will dictate, could be significantly longer if windy. Yes, there are Lake Trout in Annie Bay. As for the Baitprotek... sounds like it was invented by someone with a PHD. Pile it higher, deeper. Lol Goo...
