I'm going to Jim's Lake area north of fort coulange this week end for reds and lakers. Anybody been up there yet? Anybody have any ideas as to where the lakers are this time of year. Are things delayed this year with the cool weather and lots of rain? Any help is good help, thanks .

Is Dog lake the only splake lake that this site endorses? I know for fact that alot of slpake lakes go unmentioned, Why is this?

I have a 6500 c3 w/ the digital line counter and I have the smaller 5501 c3 and love the left hand retieve. The 6500 I had to get in the right to get the line counter. I love both these reels and use them for all kinds of fishin.

Is the bait shop open in the day time thru the week ?

I'm going for splake tom. but not at Dog. I've had some luck this year w/ splake using a small tear drop jig or the smallest and lightest of spoons or a hook and split shot as wig said w/ a blue shinner. We fish in about 15 to 25 fow. I've heard that there is splake in Dog Lake. Thanks for the lead but that's not where we are heading. I'd love to disclose the location but you've got to have a few secret spots in your bag. One day when L.T. decides to finish his roll of film I'll get the pics of the two splake I got on my B-day.

All mine are left handed except my trolling reel that has the line counter had to be a right. But i think you can get those know in a left.

Dude, you can't ice fish there i'm sure you know the current is way to strong. I walk my dog there and have wet a line a half doz. times w/ no great results.
