Icefishing Deep river area

I'm heading up to deep river either the 26th or 27th and hoping to take my brother out icefishing. I have no idea of ice conditions or where to fish. .

Any suggestions would be great. Maybe muskrat if the conditions are right.

Pike,Pike and more Pike  .Where I fish you're allowed 10 lines.Plans this year are for 8 tipups with 3-5 inch minnows. The other 2 will be small icejigs looking for big perch or whatever else bites.

DH I started fishing the St Lawrence 2 years ago and still d...

As the season rolls on and the water cools even more, it will actually be harder to get fish under 25inch. Hey Denis long time no talk  As Dartee mentioned they did change the regs back in May 2005.I remember being at merland Park when they told us . Hard to believe you can have issues...

Len you could'nt have got better advice  Sheldon knows his stuff.ee. My suggestion would to try cranks at dusk to night in 10 - 20 ft of water . We had great success on big gull a few years back.Oh yeah try a florocarbon leader as well in clear water.
