Walleye bite in Mississippi

Just wondering if anyone knows how the walleye bite has been on the lake.
Was on the Rideau last Sat. with no luck and my young lad (he's 6) is itching to get a walleye in the boat.

Will probably launch out of Baitcasters around 5am for the morning bite

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks WK

I've pulled my boat with both a front wheel drive car and van and have never had any problems pulling it out of the water (weighs about 2,000 lbs) mind you I was also very selective of the ramps I used. Going to try the Rideau for some eyes.

I've heard them being caught on the Ottawa but no reference so far to the Rideau, but the guy I'm going with claims he knows a "spot".
So we'll give er a go.

Good luck to all :D

high sticking-- bring the rod past a 90º angle with the water. This overloads the tip area of the rod by placing all the bend there which could cause it to break .

Thanks Eye Tracker

What can I say Sheldon but thanks for a wonderfully informative series of seminars on walleye fishing. Your knowledge on that species is second to none of anyone I have ever met. Hence the reason I was the only one to attend all three. Also, thanks to Crystal and Mike at Baitcasters for hosting the ...
