Quebec Salmon and trout
My parents recently purchased a cottage on the Quebec side, so I’m going to be doing a lot of fishing up there in the coming years. This weekend was my first real try at fishing the lake and it went amazing. It’s a massive shield lake with a big basin that is about 330ft in the middle, springs, stee...

Hard time getting a weight on it but the scale was bouncing bet...

Thanks Corvus!! Was a fun challenge. I’ve only recently started fishing lake Ontario and it’s becoming my favourite place to fish.Corvus Lacus wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 3:52 pm Way to go ! Nice job...especially handling a boat, a manual rigger, and fish all by yourself on the big lake..
That's an incredible fishery.

Re: muskrat ice conditions/travel
I was out today got crazy windy fun getting the pop up set up and taken down. I only caught a couple smelt. Didn’t even have 1 laker mark. No top water. Lots of ice never actually measured but at least 12. There is a small area plowed on the ice to park. Goodluck, Hopefully you get some!

St Lawrence perch
Been a slow ice year for me. Hence the lack of posting but finally got out for a couple decent days of fishing on the st Lawrence. First trip was last Sunday with my buddy Chris. Lots of small perch were caught but the real jumbos weren’t coming through. We weren’t set up until 9 so missed the morni...

Re: Quebec stocking list question
I’m looking into fishing in the outaouais as well. My parents recently bought a cottage on Lac Simon and it’ll be a good base for me to explore new lakes. So far I’ve found it very hard to find good info on stocking. I’ll keep searching as weel and report back if I find one

Manotick bait has a freezer full of ziplock bags of dead minnows. For really good price. They sold me a bag for cheap ended up having a lot in it.

Haven’t been out in a while personally but there’s lots of safe ice now. Problem is the slush/top water heard it’s nasty out there right not. Hopefully this cold weather will lock it up.
