Ottawa River
Decided to make a last minute trip up too Petawawa to fish the Ottawa river. I did some Navionics searching and found a nice neck down point were I thought the bait fish would collect. So we headed there. Target species was walleye. We start out casting/jiggin. Not long and my fishing partner Chris ...

Constance Lake
Constance lake is the only lake really close to me so I decided to fish it Saturday afternoon cause I had a couple hours to kill. Since it’s such a small shallow lake water temp was already 82F. Doesn’t seem to be any off shore structure on the lake so I started fishing shorelines with a frog and wh...

Exact same presentation. Slid a bit deeper. Mostly in 80-120. Also moved out of bays into main lake.

Re: Big Rideau lake trout
I made it out this weekend again. Bit of a slower day but ended up finding the fish. Got a 30in laker, my pb from the Rideau but it was really skinny.

Re: Big Rideau lake trout
Love getting them on a jig with light tackle. Downriggers, leadcore, dipseys, flashers, cowbells, etc and all the hardware when trolling takes the fight out of them. Sounds like it was video game fishing, watching them on the screen...very nice ! My favourite way to target them. I find a catch wayy...

Re: Big Rideau lake trout
Awesome day chasing Greasers! What Garmin unit is that? I am looking at upgrading my units and didnt want to loose the RTS window on my HB and everyone I have spoken with about Garmins said there wasn't one. Yet there it is on the RH side of your screen! It’s a Garmin echomap 73sv. I’ve had it for ...

Big Rideau lake trout
Went out on the big Rideau Sunday morning. Fished from 6-12 and put lots of fish topside. E46E2899-958A-4B46-87FC-DC5AB440C2C6.jpeg I jigged all morning. Using my fish Finder I look for schools of trout 3 or more. Then I drop down a fast sinking bait and watch the screen for them too come up as soon...

Tried lots of different baits at different depths but it was a slow day. Only got 1 walleye too the boat all morning. But it was still ...

Re: Boat launch Wolfe Lake near Westport.
There’s 2 launch’s on Wolfe lake and neither of them have docks. I would recommend the launch at the end of Wolfe lake rd. It’s gravel, nice and wide, and not a crazy slope.

Rideau river
Decied to head out on the Rideau between Kars and Manotick Sunday to see if I could find crappie, bullhead or suckers and couldn’t find any! All I was able to catch were out of season fish that went right back into the water. Water temps started around 47 and peaked around 50. Be careful out there w...
