Not sure exactly how long but more than 4 hours and less than 12 total I would say. I worked on it a little at a time after making baits all day. It began with a rough pencil sketch and progressed to this. I really appreciate all the nice things you guys have posted. :D

The painting is 22"x28" and is done mostly with airbrushes but a few details such as teeth were rendered with paint brushes and acrylic.
I'm looking into having prints done but I need to give the price some more consideration. Thanks again for the encouragement. 8)

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I did send a photo of it to Musky hunter magazine in the hopes of making a cover. You never know unless you ask!

Musky painting I just completed!

Hey gang, I just finished my first ever painting of anything like this. I'm known as the guy who designs and paints lures so I hope that this will be another outlet for my imagination. I called this one "Moira Musky" after my favourite place to fish. Hope you like it! [img] [img]http://www...

We had the BEST time ever during that trip. Besides the tough fishing, we had a wicked time meeting some other musky anglers from Chicago and having a few giggly pops at the pub. Good times were had by all. Sean actually stumbled across the pattern that we stuck with for the rest of the evening...ca...

That may be true Sean but you've got to admit, there's nothing like seeing a monster on the line!

There's also nothing quite like sticking a big fish when your buddy gets a big fat nothing!!! :( lol

Sean is the man when it comes to working big gliders. His most productive bait thus far has been that 11" Perch Musky Snax. It was supposed to be a one off custom I made him but he's done so well with it I decided to introduce it as a new size on my website. I got an order for one of those and ...

Fish on waters that have big muskies long enough and it will happen. If you really would like to up your odds of catching big muskies read as much info as you can and find out where these beautiful creatures spend the majority of their time. Put in the time on the water with quality tackle and it wi...

Congrats once again buddy. Sean and I fished that particular pool a couple of times and each had some explosive hits and Sean had two on. That one spot holds maybe 4 or 5 good sized fish...that's just one of them! Glad you got her on one of the baits I made for you Sean. That made me really proud. T...

Nice catches Sean! I'm not going to be taking any more out of the water pics unless I get a 50"+ as it's too stressful on the fish. I already have some nice pics and memories of me holding the 48" and 41" so there's really no need to take any more ego shots unless the fish is really s...

Sean, I'll be down there soon to show you how it's done! LMAO!!! Seriously, if Sean can't put a musky in the boat on that river, no one else will either. To say he knows the fishing there is an understatement. I have a feeling that deeper pools are the ticket and slow rolling spinnerbaits or jigging...

Beautiful, big, fat 'lunge. Congrat's. And a big pat on the back for a quick landing and successful release. Good job! Noticed you landed another nice muskie later, as well (your more recent post). Your g.f. may be the charm... W. She's quite a good luck charm and she's awesome on the net to...

That was a very intensive morning on the water let me tell you! I worked every spot I know holds fish and only had one big one follow early morning. I fished as intelligently as I knew how and really tried to figure out where the active fish might be. Turns out it was in heavy cover under a floating...
