Not sure if the ice is quite ready yet. A buddy and I were looking to rent a Shack for the night, next Thursday. The closer to Ottawa the better I.e white lake, muskrat, etc
If anyone has a lead let me know. I've contacted a few spots with no luck.

There was 7 inches of good ice on Buckhams so I would suspect Constance Lake has lots. Usually the first to freeze.

Anytime! Agreed. Shirley's is the best for a post work Walleye fish. Not sure we will getting out super deep anytime soon, but maybe out a little shallower in the next week or two.

Ice is good at Buckhams.. good 7 inches of black. Caught 9 last night with good variety. . Perch, pike and Walleye were all biting. Had a great breakfast !

Hey! Was out tonight.. 150 or so yards out in 8 or 9 feet of water. It was a pretty brutal walk out as there is snow then water then ice. Ice was fine though.. 9 or so inches but not all the good black stuff. One guy went out with a truck but I'm not that brave. Caught 2 perch and a small walleye. T...

It was great toward the end of Dec. A good 6 inches of ice. I haven't been back since the warm spell. I hope the last few reasonably cold days has helped.

Hit Constance Lake. A good 6 inches of black ice and a couple white. Fishing was slow but managed a decent pike... most I catch out of there are little guys.

Anyone been out to Constance Lake or Clayton Lake? I'm assuming we are still a ways away from getting on the ice with the warm spell. Getting the itch and hoping I'm wrong.

Also, anyone know if Bayview baits is open? This summer he told me he was closed down for a while.

Ended up at Constance Bay. 6" or so of ice. Picked up some minnows at Bayview Baits and caught about a dozen perch. 3 or 4 were good size.

No pike or Wallies though!
