Retour du lac Bryson

We spent the long week-end on Bryson Lake, located approx 100km NE from Fort-Coulonge QC. The objective was simple: 1) locate a good supply of walleye for the evening lunches, and 2) catch a new personal best in the lake and brook trout categories. Then, we would just have had some spare time to enj...

There is one estuary that I had access to. Just one spot in the bush that locals used. They went out into the estuary in a empty bathtub because there was a paddle in the tub when I found the place. Just enough room for me to get a cast off. I tired a buzzbait a few times but got nothing. Any ideas...

I agree 100% here lucky. In fact if someone wants to donate a reasonable spinning rod and they live in SW Ontario, give me a pm. I have a reel, and some Cuban will have the biggest smile on their face! That’s right Scuro. The tackle you leave there will put a smile on some local kids. Here is the...

Iceman, Yeah, I know, this is a terrible hat! however, when you spend the whole day on the water, under the tropical sun, you are glad you have such a thing on the head!... Scuro, Good luck with the cuban cudas! I had the chance to fish for them in Senegal, years ago. They can grow pretty big over t...

Wolfe,

Panned red snapper with fresh lime is simply to die for. Especially eaten while trolling between sea turtles and dolphins, waiting on the next battle...

This time we will be taking some tackle of our own. Just in case there is something that is ready to bite from shore...

Sea, Sails & Sun

Just starting to realize, in one week from now, we will be swimming in the warm waters of the Costa Rican Pacific Ocean! However, the highlight of this trip will be two days of tarpon fishing in Lake Nicaragua. As I was looking at last year’s photo album I thought some of you would enjoy seeing a ...

Reel handle

I noticed the handle of my Abu Garcia 6501 C4 is good to be replaced. Does anybody know where I should ask for spare parts (Ottawa area preferably) for such a reel?

Thank you,

I see not too many of you have objectives set... You are probably right, and mines are more wishes than anything else. Wolfe, I wish you a lot of fishing-family time with large muskies for you and the kids. I am sure there are a few big girls swimming in your lakes as those tiger hybrids do grow fas...

This is it! Another calendar year is ending and I am already looking forward for the new open water season, just a few months ahead of us… Before to jump in 2006, here is a look back at 2005, with some of my fishing season highlights: • Joined Fish-Hawk.com and could meet a bunch of very interes...

Phil,

Once again you did very well! Good for you!

Little Cleo and me decided to cancel our trip down there after seeing all this snow on the roads... We also retired the boat for this year.

Good luck to you and Wallyboss if you go next week-end!
