So, other than the elusive muskie, how is fishing in general at Nosbonsing? I am thinking of heading that way for a week this July, but I keep hearing that fishing in that lake is not what it used to be and has declined a lot compared to its past heydays.

wolfe, I'm from Toronto. As for zebra mussels, we were using 30 lb PowerPro for our line, and combined with the presence of zebra mussels in the area, we figured they were responsible for cutting the line, particular as the drag was on. It's known to happen quite often in zebra mussel-infested waters.

Joined this board a while back, but kept to myself so far as most discussions seemed to revolve around Eastern Ontario. Too bad this board wasn't around when I was living in Ottawa and Kingston and had to actually buy a couple of books just to learn the difference between a baitcaster and a spinning...
