I've been smokin' for a little time now ... and my advice is if your going to use apple wood from your own tree make sure that the bark is removed. Bark on chips or on twigs will give your meat/fish a bitter taste. Oh .. and forget about soaking chips in water ... try doing a light soak in apple jui...

Brown trout, a few but they are there,
Small mouths, abundance
Carp, during high waters only.
Large cats ...just off the boat lauch on the Ottawa river side

Yoo Urban: Here is a link that will take you right to all the Ontario Provincial Parks. http://ontarioparks.com/ Like said before .... Fitzroy is a very nice park ... but not the swimming. Brown trout, Gar, Pike can be found here ... Voyageur PP is situated on the Ottawa ... with fairly good fishing...

I basically cant see the big problem here .. we all know lead is basically bad for the environment so ... isnt it time you all give it up. There are subsitutes for your sinkers and stuff ..so whats the big problem. I have fished in the waters of Alberta where lead is banned and it is accepted ..so w...

If you want to perform the same style of presentation with the Spook in a canoe ... toss you bait to the desired spot, post the tip of your rod at 11 am and make small twitches with the rod tip.
