Well, I haven't posted in a while, and I haven't even run into this problem. chances are, most cottage owners probably know I'm not gonna catch anything anyways :( :( :( But my two cents is this: They ( I presume) bought their cottage to enjoy the waterfront property in the way in which they see fit...

Okay. So, we've moved again. now we're in the prescott area. But do you know what moving into a new house in December means? No fishing. no ice fishing, certainly no soft water fishing, nothing. Cold turkey. I'm a half step away from curling up in the fetal position and crying in a dark corner all b...

Finally I have something worth reporting:)
Well, met up with Dad at Merland on tuesday evening. Armed with a few new cranks and some very helpful info from E.T. and McQ, away we went around 8pm. We headed towards the Marina (not the Harbour in the tip of the bay) and fished the weedlines, drifting as best we could, maybe 40 feet from shore c...

While I would be angry at being removed from the water I was fishing in forcefully, I probably would have left anyways. For two reason's really. The first and foremost... who want's to be waist deep in water that someone is purposefully charging with electricity? certainly not me. I know some waders...

While the Bay itself is now very clear, I find once you enter Hay Bay, the clarity is lost, for whatever reason, I assume because the bottom changes from rock to mud and sand, I may be wrong, but it seems like the reason to me. So a good starting assumtion could be to find where the rock bottom begi...

Last year I tried Power Pro. It was okay. I just tried Seaguar flourocarb line, wasn't impressed by it the first time out, but the reel is old and I may have spooled it wrong. I Just went to the BPS in Vaughn on the weekend and picked up an Abu Garcia Cardinal for 40$, tried it for the first time on...

You probably had to book bon echo aroun d this time last year. It is one of the fastest filling Parks in Ontario. You Could try Sharbot Lake, they don't fill to capacity quite as quickly, but by now you guys are probably sunk in the way of Provincial Parks. If you're dead set on that area, and it is...

Evindrude E-Tecs?
I was wondering if anybody had any relevant info on the new Evinrude E-tecs. I see they're much lighter, and oil injected, but has anyone seen/used one? Does anyone know what this does to your boats HP rating? I realize that alot of it has to do with speed, but the weight must be a factor too. The 1...
