Heading to BOQ in 3 hrs, with another hockey dad.

Hoping for 2 good solid days on the Reach, if the wind will allow, and if not then planning 2nd day on Rideau for last muskie of season.

Still in the old Sylvan, so wave if you see us!

Good luck and safe fishing to all on the water this weekend.

Lake Scugog is max 15ft deep, any where, it may have more acreage than your examples, but still supports lots of muskie for a shallow lake.

Spoons will also add a lot of line twist, and snap swivels are a good choice when using them.

Home made rod holders will probably end up costing you more when trolling for Muskie, as he takes the rod, reel and holder with him.$$$ Buy Downeastern double clamps and, you will not regret it. Typically $35.00 each, and worth it. The black power paint ones look nice but if your on a budget...

Big Rideau Lake

In the fishing regs it has Big Rideau Lake (The Bog and Long Island) - poo poo and Burgess Twps Fish sanctuary - closed all year. Can someone on here tell me what part of the lake this is referring to? I will be camping at Murphy's Point this weekend and would hate to be in the wrong spot. Thanks St...

There is a launch in Port Perry, just north of the marina, should find pan fish there... Also a launch at Ceasera, off Hwy 7A... Tons of weeds all around Scugog this time of year. If you can I would try up off of the river south of Lindsay, should have better luck there, water flow would be cooler w...

Mazinaw is a big lake for a small boat, but you should be able to stay close to the rock and find some shelter if the winds are up. This is a really deep lake and will take some time to find the bait fish and the Walleye. Joe Perry Lake on the south side of the Park is my fav, however no Motors allo...

Great report Norm. Sadly, I have no pictures to add, as Mike and Joe were taking all the pics, so we will have to wait for their report. Joe's brothers name is Mike, and just about died waiting for us to finish lunch and get back out on the water. We talk too much... Both Mike and Joe had a ...

Joe

I PM'd ya a couple of months back and it's still in my plans to join you this year.

Just trying to nail down if it will be Sat or Sun with my better half.

I'm looking forward to you showing me some spots on this lake and bending an elbow or 2.
