refteck has it right. At atmospheric pressure R22 boils at -40* so it would be impossible to dump it in the river as a liquid. It would flash to vapour as soon as it hit the atmosphere. My uncle has an old 7.5hp long shaft. He thinks its a late 60's vintage. On the upper area of the shaft their is a couple of ports. One is marked"flush". He wants to know what these ports are and what they are to be flushed with. Any Idea? Thanks Mike
