It's my home water. There is some water that reaches 40-45 feet deep but J is right, there are a lot of weeds. Not really any hot spots on the lake though. It is a funny lake at times. Some days the fish seem to be everywhere and will hit anything and then there are days when you would swear the lak...

Thank God for Musky Season
Hey guys and Gals, Hope everyone had a good and safe opening weekend. It felt good to get out and throw the big baits again after a long winter! My brother-in-law and I went out for a couple of hours behind my place this afternoon. We ended up out on Stoco for a short time but the wind was blowing p...

I was in Trenton tonight (Saturday) at around 5:30 pm. There were some pretty big fish weighed in. In the Walleye division, EVERY fish in the top 10 was OVER 10lbs and in the Pike division, the leading Pike was just under 20lbs at 19.99lbs. It's going to be tough to end up on top of either side. All...

I think the main problem with the Moira system is that the whole thing is made up of weir dams. When we get a large volume of water like this, there is no way to drain it any faster. The Trent River which is just next door has high water and some flooding but seems to be doing OK so far. They have t...

Gas Prices (NF)
Hey everyone. Just a heads up for anyone who may be going through Tweed. I live here and for the past few weeks the price of gas has been considerably lower than everywhere else in the area. I went into town today and as of noon today (Saturday) the price of fuel was 83.9 at the Petro Can for self s...

I grew up on the bay and have caught my fair share of 10lb+ Walleye out there. I have always found the earlier you can get out there, the better the fishing. Having said that, winters have got a lot warmer in recent years and ice is always a concern. We used to be able to catch over a hundred fish t...

Saturday Musky Fishing
Hey All, Went out for a bit yesterday with my daughter Reegan and my nephew Nick. I managed to get one that ended up jumping clear out of the water about 5 feet from Nick. He has never seen a live Musky and the look of terror on his face was priceless! I also like the look on Reegans face in the pic...

Hey Wolfman, I live on the water and find some pretty big, hairy and creepy spiders here too! Before I moved up here I had know idea spiders grew that big in Ontario. You wouldn't want to wake up in the middle of the night with that crawling acrossed you! I found this link and I would guess ...

Hey MW, This is just something I've always found that works for me in the summer. Try something completely different than what you normally do. For me...Where I fish, my best colours are either Perch or black. It doesn't seem to matter what type of bait I throw as long as they are one of those two c...

I've never actually fish Crowe Lake but I live 30 minutes away from it and know some people that have fished it. I wouldn't have a clue where to start fishing it but I know that there are Large and Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Pike and the odd Muskie in there. I would imagine that all the usual panfish...
