Niagara never freezes. Sometimes the boat launch at queenston freezes but not yet. We had horrible winds yesturday and today so river is probably mud and I wouldn't recommend coming all this way for nothing. Have been away for awhile and coming near Ottawa for New years...what are your ice conditions? At Petrie that is...its the only place I know how to get too!

Well you can always take a trek down to the niagara from there...only 45 minutes...not much I do it everyday to work from the Falls. By the time you are there the river should be full of rainbows....just put a 3-way swivel on and some weight a lead line with roe on it and cast away!

Also make sure they put how much you paid for it minus the shipping charges...not how much the item would be worth brand new....got screwed with this...ended up paying an extra $16US on an item I paid $19.95 for cause they put that it was worth $59

I was at Olcott NY and these guys were fishing with marshmallows on the bottom at the dam and getting nice 10 pounders with ....I have heard them used for salmon but trout....guess so!

well there is a lake just north of TO....I saw a Bob Izumi fishing show there...think its called brown lake or something like that...he was fishing with some kids and they were getting small trout thru the ice.....i wrote the lake down but have moved since and lost alot of things!

If you go then go early or late cause my dad and I went in August last summer to Madawaska and it was 39 degrees without the humidex. My dad is a large fella so it was really hard on him...a 5 day trip turned into a 2 day...it can really dampen a good time! Just my thought

I got a propane one from walmart and it works pretty good even out in the open....uses those little propane tanks, gets about 10 hours on one tank...forget how many btu's but it is worth like $80...hope this helps

Oh ya that happened to me too....my lady can't believe I will just go fishing with anybody, even if I have never met them! Guys are wired different then woman.....we don't complain about everything...lol
