can anyone tell me of a good mercury dealer for a outboard repair in the perth area i called johns marnia they said they would call me back have not returned the call i gess the do not need the business any help would be great.

Sounds like the 50 is a little small for that boat. One thing is that legend/smokercraft always put there boat packages together under powered that is why I upgraded I new the 40hp wouldn't push the 16 footer. thanks for you info but the boat is rated for a 60h.p and the new 06 performs great with ...

bought a 2005 somkercraft stinger 161 with a 50hp mercury 4 stroke at lake & trail in perth had planening problems at first they told me there was no problem i insisted there was as the boat traveled back all of may & june L&T hired a new service manager things started to happen admitted...
