Where abouts on Shirleys Bay were you on Sunday? The perch bite was pretty good, had about a dozen or so around 3PM, then the bite suddenly stopped after an hour. It sure got cold after the sun went down, brrrr.

Can you get fined for having alcohol on board your boat? From what I see in the regs, you just can't be under the influence when operating the boat. Am I reading this wrong?

If you're startin from Cedarcove, head to the opposite shore and fish the downed trees. Also roam and fish around the middle of the bay looking for weed patches in the 6-10ft range. Walleyes were bitin after sunset today at Black Rapids. They were holding right in the rapids, got them on white jighead with worm. All went back safely.

To anyone that has fished Long Island recently,
Are there a good amount of sunfish off the docks or by the locks? Was thinkin of a good location to bring a kid to get into some easy action from shore, but also a chance at a potential big fish.

Water is lower than usual right now. Walleyes are biting and shallow. Now must continue to find a boat to rent on there so I can catch some!

Haha, definately heard you scream. I was on the ledge at the rapids watching two gents land monster carp. Didn't fish much, caught and released a ~2lb smallie right in the rapids.
