i moved to Ottawa from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. This town was founded because of the trade opportunities brought on by the anual salmon run. It's a part of our heritage. I've always used a silver or gold (or both)Williams spoon (1.5-2"). Take the hook off the spoon and add a 4" bit of line from where the hook was attached. then attach the hook to the line, hook on a nice worm and you're off to the races.

Have you found much success around here with a white jig head and purple tail?
North of Wawa, many people i've fished with only use white jig heads with black jigs when fishing at depth. I'm excited to try purple tails when i return.
