I call them Catfish because Im french hehehehe Mudpout Barbout whatever they have many names hahaha thanks a lot ......Ill try them in the very near future .... I caught a lot of them in White Lake near Pakenham Arnprior way I use to fish them there when i had a trailer ..... still go there maybe on...

these fish in the Ottawa market are netted commercially from a company that is situated near Hawkesbury ..... they have been licenced for many years ..... I remember has a young lad ( 40 years ago hehehe ) going to the area and fishing catfish with my older cousin seeing the commercial boat .....

no problems..... if noone has fished catfish in Mississippi I will try and get a spot near the Hwy 7 boatlaunch by going out with my son RRC and cousin later on .... must fill my freezer for the winter

Catfish Mississippi Lake
Anyone out there know where a retired old fool can find a spot on Mississippi to catch some Catfish , know where to get them on White Lake but would like to have a spot near my place . thanks to all

wish i could be there
but i'm working that day .... My son RRC and I are planning a day at Silver Lake in the near future . I talked to a ederly gentlemen the last time i was there and he stated that splakes were being caught around the island which is situated across from the rest stop off Hwy 7 . He did mention a 6 lbe...

wish i could go that day but working
but i am planning to go 1 day with my son RRC . tried once before but didnt get any . talked to a elderly gentlemen when we were there and he said that he has caught them before and seen others catch lakers around the island . good luck to all

Lakers at Palmerston Lake
Going to above lake on friday the 30th weather permitting . Will be a first for me but cousin has been there before says that lakers are in 20 feet of water this time of year.
