Well, you know.. you just google upt the motel/hotel (Holiday Inn) in the area and book your accommodations. You've done that b4 I'm sure. If everyone just finds their own accommodations, and get down to the lake, you can drive your truck, you know, it's almost like a paved hiway, with the occasiona...

I've Ice Fished for them, and found that it helped to on the spot 30 mins before daybreak. A lot of times the bite only lasted about 30 minutes, after that nothing. Maybe we should have moved, but sometimes that doesn't work either. They also bit very lightly.

I would say no. It depends, I think, on the forage. If you have smelt, alewives, herring, etc then, yeah, they might suspend. But I think most "back" Lakes don't have the same food base as the larger "Open water" Lakes. So having said that, then, after the fall turnover ,(mixing ...

Here's an idea. Once the Ice is safe (all the locals have stopped breaking through) everybody, leave at 3:00 AM. Drive to North Bay, ON. By now it's probably 7:30 AM. Drive down to the lake. You do not have to be there too early. Most days the fish bite intermittently througout the day. There'll be ...

The amount of times that I get to go Ice Fishing, I am more than glad to go out, take a stroll to each of the tip-ups. It is good practise to check the minnow. If it is not swimming properly, I bring the minnow pail, and put a fresh one on. Pays off - HUGE! I finish off with skimming the hole clear,...

The way I see it..... it's all about comprimises. You know that the smaller you make this, the easier it'll be to pull around. In certain conditions, you might get lucky, and be pullin the sled across bare ice. The thing will practically pull itself. 2-3 foot deep snowdrifts, a different story. You ...

I'm just joking! I apologise if I offended anyone.
I just figured, that, hey, since I am French I can joke about my own nationality!
But apparently not.

Try a picture framing store.

Stranded wire allows it to be more flexible while retaining it's strenght.
If you were to use solid wire, it would be too stiff.

You can laugh at the cold when you are properly dressed for it.

I have a down filled Parka that fits over my snowmobile suit, and with my styrofoam lined boots, I beleive I could survive in the Antarctic.
