Re: Tatsu vs. Shooter - A little Help?
Both these two lines are premium fluorocarbon. I'm a fan of the tatsu in 6-8 lb for light spinning gear applications. It's more supple then your average Fluro but still holds up well with minimal strectch. The sun line I have not had a lot of experience with. I use fluro for these presentations: Cra...

Re: Mississippi Lake problems
This lake has always had problems with the panfish being full of worms. Prolly because of how shallow it is. Anybody but driving out down at the large basin end.

Punching
I've done my fair share what seems to work best for me is texa's rigged plastics with a small profile most of the time these fish are hitting it on the down fall. I use a 7'6 tommy biffle signitures series flipping stick with a quantum energy 7:0.1 gear ratio reel. 50-65lb braid. weight tru-tungsten...

first baitcast
i can't stress enough, spending a little now will save you more later. Not to mention getting your hands on a quality reel it will be easier for you to learn with.make sure it's got a superfree spool. i'd go accurist PT or citica accurist's got a external breaking system which makes it easier to get...

Frog Rod
I was in your same shoes about 3 years back i jumped around from rod to rod thinking i need a broomstick to move fish out of cover. The frog has been a staple for me in my tournament fishing career, putting more kickers into the well then i can remember. If you fish alot of frogs you will start to n...

Sonar
I highly recommend one of the Hummingbirds especially with the new side imaging and down imaging. Not to mention there warranty
I find lowrance has really changed since it was sold to Navco just my personal opinion.

Spinnerbait fishing
here's my 2 cents: If your targeting largemouth with spinnerbaits, i like to try and make it simple and cover water with the stain in the water my favourite on the ottawa is a tandem willow ,colorado. Colour white with gold blades. I find gold gives off a better flash in the murky water now if you d...

Thanks alot guys
Acutally they had problems with the water weigh in scales so they went back to the original scales which they used for years and were spot on.It was great of them to come straight out and tell us about it though i must say it was a issue well handled. The old scales take 20 readings per second and pi...

I'd just like to add that of course you need to be good in sales and know your product but most fisherman are addicts to buying gear. And these are the people that customers want to talk to guys that have tested the gear and have had success using it. I'd have to say both on and off the water confid...

Handheld Gps
Hi I have had the experience of using a wide range of different units and by far if you'll looking for a unit for fishing there is none that beats the lowrance hand held units. For the price these units are awesome. Software is at a great price and there Topo comes with the streets where as the Garm...
