cut your fillet and cut out the "Y" bone
I personally don't dick around and cut out the area (ya can feel where the bone is)
2/3 down , right in the middle, cut the strip right out

the one chap had it right.Some manufactures make items for certain stores.I personally do not buy ct rods or reels , as I think "ya get what ya pay for" buyer beware , nothin against ct , just a belief and or opinion you should hear me go off on bass pro , wow!! good luck with your search ...

It may cost more to get a replica done , however the benifits out wiegh the cons. Aside from the obvious , you can release the trophy , a replica will not fade out over time.
